Another Train Station Restoration by Inspire Conservation

Millbrook Station in Bedfordshire is one of the Cottage Orné style stations on the Bletchley to Bedford line complementing the structures on the Duke of Bedford’s estate and the façade has undergone restoration works by Inspire Conservation.

The building was purchased in the 1980’s and is now in private ownership and has been restored heavily in the past.  The render was failing and the timber façade slowly decaying.  The client instructed Inspire Conservation to restore the timber frame, insert a new timber sash window and reinstate a more sympathetic render to the track side elevation.  The results are clear to see and the client is very happy with the works, especially since we have now been instructed to complete another side!

Inspire Conservation undertake lime plastering and rendering on traditional buildings and new build constructions with traditional materials.  Don’t forget that our sister company Inspire Supplies is the local traditional building merchant for the home counties, so it is all managed in house without fuss and we can be more competitive than most.
