Recording the Nation’s Sculpture – ICON Article

We thought that this would be of interest to our viewers who do not necessarily have access to the ICON magazine. This is an article in the current issue 51. These pages have often sung the praises of the Public Catalogue Foundation (PCF) and its mammoth undertaking of recording all the oil paintings in public ownership (see www.bbc.co.uk/arts/yourpaintings/). Now the PCF is turning its attention to sculpture and has just signed a partnership agreement .

Winners of an Oxford Preservation Trust Award 2013!

We are proud to announce that Inspire Conservation have won an Oxford Preservation Trust award for our work at Magdalen College, Oxford last year.  We were encouraged by the local authority conservation officer to submit our project which was short listed from various projects that were put forward.  Out of the 16 nominated projects in the building conservation category we were one of only three projects to receive an award for our outstanding contribution .

  Inspire Conservation clean and conserve numerous war memorials nationwide and this example proves how far we work for these important structures.  We realise the importance of these monuments to the local communities and will go the extra mile to ensure that they are sensitively and effective conserved, especially in time for Armistice day.  Our offices in Buckinghamshire and Lincolnshire help us serve the whole of the UK for our monument and statue conservation .

War memorial specialist working in the Cotswold Water Park

  Ashton Keynes is in the middle of the Cotswold water park, an area of natural beauty and outstanding national heritage.  The water parks are disused aggregate quarries which are now a local attraction for wildlife and water sports.  The war memorial in Ashton Keynes was in a poor state of repair and following a report issued by Odgers Conservation Consultants for English Heritage, Inspire Conservation were instructed to undertake the careful cleaning and repair of this .

Condition survey and upcoming project on decorative historic interior

  Inspire Conservation have completed a comprehensive condition survey and treatment recommendation plan for another new client, PWR events, who organise well known events including Hampton Court Festival from their head office in London.  Their head office building is known as the Brick House or Grove House in Hampton and has an interesting history and a very unique Moorish interior scheme in one of the rooms within it.
