Hertford Heath is a village in Hertfordshire who at the beginning of 2013 called upon Michael Sheppard to assess their war memorial and compile a specification of work to restore it. The programme included cleaning with the DOFF super heated water system, lime mortar grouting, pointing and consolidation and general repairs to the surrounding base. The PCC managed to raise the funds necessary to complete the works and so at the latter stages of the same year Inspire Conservation returned to complete the practical treatments. The work was complete before armistice day and the PCC were very happy with the works that were undertaken.
The PCC took advantage of our offer of a ‘free report’ containing a condition survey and photographic reference of the memorial, which is normally chargeable. This offer has now expired but we run various offers throughout the year so, keep posted and subscribe to our blog posts to be the first to know.
