We also sell repair mortar which can be colour matched ensuring an accurate finish. Our range includes the commonly specified St Astier lime mortar as well as Ionic lime mortar which is very high quality and from a quarry run by the same family for 140 years. For convenience we also offer premixed lime mortar which contains quality aggregates and comes in either a coarse or fine mortar mix either with or without fibres.

Our range of sawn or riven chestnut lath, oak lath and larch lath is suitable as a background for lime plaster or for repairing lathed walls. To complement our plastering range you can also buy horse hair, goat hair, pig hair and glass fibres to strengthen mortar and plaster mixes for base coats. To ensure the correct colour, you can also choose from our range of pozzolans, ash and stone dust. We also sell hessian and fibre glass mesh for protecting external work during colder periods.

hand painted colour swatch available so you can see the exact texture, colour and finish prior to ordering larger quantities.
We offer a range of aggregates suitable for a variety of applications. Supplied in both 25kg bags or 1 tonne bags you can choose a quantity suitable for your requirements. We also offer samples so you can see and feel the consistency of the aggregate before commiting to a larger order. One of our most popular aggregates is the fine building sand (
BS1200) which is ideal for mixing with
lime putty or
lime mortar and used in top coat plastering. For base coat plastering our coarser aggregates or standard building sand can be used. We have a wide range of fine sand, coarse sand and blended sands which serve many uses in building conservation, general building and plastering.
